Notes attempting to understand and compare some potions useful for boat metalwork.

  * Hylomar Blue
  * Duralac
  * Tef-Gel
  * Lanocoat
  * Loctite

===== Stopping corrosion one dissimilar metal fittings =====

Normally steel screws or rivets into aluminium.

Usable:
  * Tef-Gel
  * Lanocoat
  * Duralac

===== Sealing threads on diesel fuel pipes =====

I have successfully used normal Loctite threadlock, mostly because it is what I had.
Hylomar Blue sounds like it would be good for this.

===== Waterproofing wires and electrical joints =====

Setting / hardening:
  * Plasti-dip
  * Liquid electrical tape (generic form of above?)
  * Hot glue
  * Epoxy
  * Acrylic conformal coat 

Soft:
  * Silicone grease
  * Vaseline
